영어 유머-혼인서약의 진실

신혼부부는 첫날밤부터 기싸움을 한다죠.

여기서 밀리면 평생 밀린다는 각오로 말이죠.

ㅋㅋㅋ..

During the wedding rehearsal, the groom approached the vicar.

"I'll give you $100 if you'll change the wedding vow.

I'd appreciate it if you'd just leave that part where I have to promise to 'love, obey and be faithful to her forever."

He passed the clergyman the cash and walked away.

On the wedding day, the vicar looks at the young man and says, 

"Will you promise to obey her every command and swear eternally before God that you will not ever even look at another woman?"

The groom gulped and said in a tiny voice, "Yes."

He then leaned toward the vicar and hissed, "I thought we had a deal."

The vicar put the $100 into his hand and whispered back, 

"She made me much better offer."

결혼식 예행연습을 하던 중에 신랑은 목사에게 다가가서 제의를 했다.

"제가 100 달러를 드릴 테니 혼인서약을 좀 바꿔주시겠어요.

'사랑하고 순종하며 영원토록 충실하겠다'

라는 대목을 빼주시면 고맙겠습니다." 


그는 목사에게 100 달러를 건네주고 돌아왔다.

결혼식 당일, 혼인서약 중 목사가 청년을 바라보면서 말하는 것이었다.

"신랑은 신부의 모든 지시에 순종할 것을 약속하며 다른 여자는 아예 거들떠 보지도 않겠다는 것을 하나님 앞에 엄숙히 서약합니까？"

순간 당황한 신랑은 숨을 죽이고 가냘픈 목소리로 

"네.." 

하고 겨우 대답했다.

그리고 다음 순간 신랑은 목사 쪽으로 몸을 기웃하더니 속삭였다.

"우리 이러지 않기로 이야기 된 거 아닌가요~"

그러자 목사도 신랑의 손에 100 달러를 돌려주면서 소곤거렸다.

"신부가 훨씬 좋은 조건을 제시했다네~~"
